Veruschka is an OMD song released as the third single and preview track to the forthcoming Bauhaus Staircase on the evening of Thursday 05 October 2023, as a digital single and video only.
The release came shortly after the previous single Slow Train in September, and Bauhaus Staircase in August.
The chords for the song were originally written by Paul Humphreys while still writing material for his Onetwo project with Claudia Bruecken. The lyrics are based on the life of Veruschka von Lehndorff (b.1939), also known as the "first German supermodel.“
Demo version[]
A demo version, entitled 'Veruschka 2 Demo 2nd December 2020' was released as part of the Bauhaus Staircase 'First Edition' bonus CD.
Live[]
Veruschka was initially played live at the album launch live performances in Kingston-on-Thames on 29 October and in Liverpool on 01 November 2023.
